Lords and knights gathered around a war council table by candlelight

The Rules of the Realm

Terms of Service

The rules every lord, knight, and warband agrees to before joining the shared Bannerlord EU Campaign.

1.Acceptance of Terms

By downloading the Bannerlord EU launcher, joining our servers, or taking part in the shared Campaign, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Bannerlord EU is a community-run project. We may update these Terms as the Campaign evolves; continued play after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

2.Eligibility & Game Ownership

  • You must own a legitimate copy of Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord on a supported platform.
  • You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country to use online services.
  • Bannerlord EU is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by TaleWorlds Entertainment. All game assets belong to their respective owners.

3.Accounts & Characters

  • One account and one main character per player. Alternate accounts used to gain an advantage are not permitted.
  • You are responsible for everything done on your account. Do not share, sell, or trade accounts, characters, or clans.
  • Characters, kingdoms, items, and in-game currency exist only inside the Campaign and have no real-world value.

4.Fair Play

The Campaign is shared by everyone, so one unfair advantage affects the whole continent. The following are strictly forbidden:

  • Cheats, trainers, memory editors, unauthorized mods, or any modified client files.
  • Exploiting bugs, duplication glitches, or map errors instead of reporting them to staff.
  • Botting, macros, or automation that plays the game for you.
  • Deliberately sabotaging allied armies, sieges, or community defenses against AI invasions.
  • Selling in-game items, gold, troops, or services for real money.

5.Community Conduct

Rivalries belong on the battlefield. Treat every player with respect in game chat, voice, and on our Discord.

  • No harassment, hate speech, threats, discrimination, or doxxing.
  • No spam, advertising, or impersonating staff members.
  • No sexual, violent, or otherwise inappropriate names, banners, or content.
  • Follow the instructions of moderators and event organizers during community operations.

6.The Shared Campaign

The world map is persistent and changes based on player actions and AI invasions. Territory, armies, and progress can be lost through normal gameplay.

To keep the Campaign healthy we may rebalance systems, adjust economies, roll back the world after critical bugs or exploits, or begin a new Campaign season. These changes are not grounds for compensation.

7.Donations & Supporter Perks

  • Donations are voluntary and help cover server and development costs. They do not purchase ownership of anything in the game.
  • Supporter perks are cosmetic or quality-of-life only and never grant a competitive advantage.
  • Donations are non-refundable, except where required by law.
  • Breaking these Terms can lead to removal of perks without refund.

8.Player Content & Media

You keep the rights to screenshots, videos, and streams you create. By sharing them in our community channels, you allow Bannerlord EU to feature them on our website and social media, with credit where possible.

Streaming and recording Bannerlord EU gameplay is welcome. Please do not stream-snipe other players or share private staff information.

9.Moderation & Enforcement

Staff may issue warnings, mutes, character resets, temporary bans, or permanent bans depending on the severity of a violation. Serious cheating or harassment may result in an immediate permanent ban.

If you believe a decision was made in error, you can appeal through a ticket on our Discord. Appeals are reviewed by a different staff member whenever possible.

10.Availability & Liability

The service is provided "as is". Servers may go offline for maintenance, updates, or unexpected issues, and we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access or that progress will never be lost.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bannerlord EU and its volunteers are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the launcher, servers, or community spaces.
